Rolands Bērziņš won the gold medal in Latvian Chess Championship in 2021,[1] silver medal in 2003 (tournament won Evgeny Sveshnikov) and bronze medal in 2002 (tournament won Ilmārs Starostīts).
Rolands Bērziņš played for Latvia in European Team Chess Championship:[2]

Rolands Bērziņš played for Latvia in Chess Olympiads:[3]
- In 2002, at first reserve board in the 35th Chess Olympiad in Bled (+2, =3, -5).
